ABOUT US
If you're reading this, you must be curious about what it's like to live in a floating home on the Fraser River in a beautiful suburb of Ladner, BC. In a word, it's... awesome!
We share our environs with swans, herons, ducks, geese, songbirds, eagles, doves, seals and a plethora of other furry and feathered critters. We live under bright stars and brilliant sunsets and are surrounded by the indigenous flora and fauna of the Fraser delta.
Individually, we are artists, bankers, doctors, engineers, nurses, pilots, photographers, producers, teachers, tradespeople and writers. We are dog owners and cat owners. Some of us like wine. Some of us like beer. We love to be outside enjoying our community, on our decks or along the picturesque dykes that border our homes.
Successfully launched, House #3 waits upriver for optimum tides and weather conditions, before it is towed into its place in the community.
WHERE WE ARE
The docks of Marina Wes Del are lined with steel poles to hold hanging floral baskets in summer and banners, year round. This latest design is another dynamic creation by community artist Dana Fetherstonhaugh, adding colour and animation to our floating village.
